Get to know Maren better
Maren is a certified nutrition therapist, personal trainer, model, mom of two boys and founder of Surf Kombucha.
She's originally from a farm in Norway, but now live in Portugal with her husband and two boys. Through studies, client work, and personal experience with gut issues, food intolerance, and hormonal imbalances, she has seen how deeply food impacts our health.
Training has been a part of her as long as she can remember - starting with dancing and volleyball, and later she found the love for running and lifting weights.
Experience
In addition to supporting others with nutrition and training, both online and in person, Maren has faced her own health challenges.
Her journey began at 19 when she started traveling and experienced sudden changes in her digestion. These issues developed into leaky gut, food intolerances, candida overgrowth, bacterial imbalances, skin problems, and a weakened immune system.
Through these struggles, Maren experienced firsthand how quickly health can decline and how deeply it affects both the mind and body. However, she also discovered the incredible healing power of proper nutrition and supplements, helping her regain her health and feel like herself again.
Witch functional testing like GI-map and DUTCH-test she got an better understanding if what was actually going on in her body, and could make changes in her diet and supplements, to regain the balance.
This personal journey has given Maren a deep understanding of her clients' struggles. She truly empathizes with what they are going through because she has been there herself.
Maren share her experience, knowledge and help people both hands on as a personal trainer in Portugal, as an 1:1 online coach and group coach, through her own Wellness Week retreats in Portugal.
